Overview
The echory-App connects echory meeting intelligence to your HubSpot account. After a call, echory pushes the results to HubSpot: tasks, summaries, transcripts and profiling.
The connection uses OAuth. An Admin installs the app once into a HubSpot account. echory never receives a HubSpot password, only the permissions you approve during installation.
What you use the integration for
- Call results reach your CRM without retyping.
- You bring meetings from HubSpot into echory as calls, one at a time or several at once.
- Your team sees the summary, tasks and, if you choose, the transcript where it already works.
Requirements
- An echory account on the Professional, Business or Enterprise plan.
- The Admin role in echory. The connection then applies to your whole workspace.
- A HubSpot account in which you may install apps. According to HubSpot, this requires Super Admin or App Marketplace Access permissions.
Installation and connecting
Open Integrations. Sign in to echory and open Company Settings › Integrations.
Start connecting. On the HubSpot card, click Connect. HubSpot opens its sign-in.
Choose your HubSpot account. Sign in to HubSpot and pick the account the echory-App will be installed into. If you have access to several accounts, make sure you pick the right one.
Review and approve the permissions. HubSpot shows which data the echory-App wants to read and write. What each permission is for is explained under Permissions. Approve the installation.
Check the connection. HubSpot sends you back to echory, which completes the connection. The HubSpot card then shows Connected.
Permissions
The echory-App requests these permissions during installation.
| Permission | Type | Used for |
|---|---|---|
| Read contacts, companies, deals and meetings | Required | Matching calls to the right contacts, companies and deals, and importing meetings from HubSpot. |
| Read schemas for contacts, companies and deals | Required | Knowing the properties in your account so you can select them in the field mapping. |
| Write contacts, deals and meetings | Optional | Saving call results in HubSpot. |
| Write call transcripts | Optional | Storing a call's transcript in HubSpot. |
| Write schemas for deals and meetings | Optional | Creating echory properties on deals and meetings. |
Without the optional write permissions, echory can read data from HubSpot but cannot push results to HubSpot.
Configuration
Open the settings under Company Settings › Integrations: on the HubSpot card, open the more options menu and click Edit integration. Apply changes with Save changes.
Auto-push
The Connection Configuration tab has the switch Auto-push the call to HubSpot after it ends. It is on once you have connected. echory then pushes a call to HubSpot a few minutes after it ends, using the saved push options. This applies to calls linked to HubSpot, for example because the meeting was imported from HubSpot.
You do not have to decide this during setup. An Admin can switch it off and on again at any time. When it is off, you push results manually only.
Sync direction
- From echory to HubSpot: call results, automatically after the call or manually.
- From HubSpot to echory: contacts, companies, deals and meetings for matching and import. From the HubSpot card's more options menu, Run sync now starts a manual sync.
Field mapping
The Field Mapping tab shows which echory data goes into which HubSpot property, split into Account, Contact, Deal and Activity Log. Key fields are locked because echory uses them to find records. Optional fields can be mapped to custom HubSpot properties in your account.
Usage
Automatic
With auto-push on, there is nothing to do. End the call in echory as usual; a few minutes later the results are in HubSpot.
Manual
Open the call's review and click Push to CRM. Choose what goes to HubSpot: tasks, summary, transcript and more.
Import meetings from HubSpot
When you create a new call, choose HubSpot in the Import step. Single import lets you pick a company and one meeting with its participants, Bulk import several meetings at once.
Disconnecting
Disconnecting ends the connection from the echory side. The app stays installed in HubSpot until you uninstall it there.
- In echory, open Company Settings › Integrations.
- On the HubSpot card, open the more options menu and click Disconnect.
Uninstalling
Uninstalling removes the echory-App from your HubSpot account.
- In HubSpot, click the settings icon in the top navigation bar.
- In the left sidebar, go to Integrations › Connected Apps.
- On the echory-App, click Actions › Uninstall.
- In the dialog, type “uninstall” and click Uninstall.
HubSpot describes this in detail in its help article Install apps in the HubSpot Marketplace, section “Uninstall an app”.
